This Rolex Cellini is the straight successor of the Midas line launched in the mid 1960s, designed to offer a broader variety of watches produced by the manufacture the Midas/Cellini line always focused on dress watches and are the elegant side of Rolex compared to the sportier main line of production. So, on the Cellini models Rolex played with a variety of case designs, funky dial materials etc... Some have aged not too well being a bit “too much” while some other watches have aged just perfectly to that subtle balance between extravagance and elegance.
