What we love about it?

The Jaeger-leCoultre Memovox is one of the icons of the watch world, it stands along the Reverso as the two best known JLC watches ever produced. It has a distinguished look with its two crowns on the side; one for setting the time and the other to set and operate the alarm. Over the time the watch evolved radically from the first models in the early 1950s to the actual ones, because yes, the Memovox is still offered at JLC catalogue today. Here is in our opinion one of the most beautiful examples produced, the ref.875 equipped with the well renowned cal.916 “speed beat” movement. It is a perfect mix of the vintage ones, with a classic yet well-proportioned 37mm case and the modern ones, with its modern colors, the big applied JL logo at 9 and the swift movement of the second hand. Our watch offered here is the rarest and most sought-after example produced with its very distinguished “tuxedo” dial and original NSA bracelet. Cherry on the cake? It has a stunning tropical patina which is typical of these blue dials of the 1970s due to the way they were produced. If you are looking for a beautiful Memovox, here’s your rare opportunity to get your hands on one of the most beautiful examples ever offered.

Condition report:

  • Bracelet – The bracelet is in superb condition, shows very light stretch and can accommodate large wrists.
